Kanchanaburi War CemeteryThis image is of the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery with the thousands of graves to soldiers who died during the Second World War. Kanchanaburi is notorious for the sheer number of soldiers who died, not due to the fighting but due to slave labour and the construction of the Thailand Burma railway which is also known as the Death Railway. Thousands of souls were lost in the humid malaria infest slave camps that construct a railway which is no longer in use. The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery indicates the scale of the war crimes which were committed within this region.
